Suggested itinerary

The journey, day by day

Day 1

Arrival in San José · First contact with Costa Rica

On arrival in San José, personalised assistance and private transfer to the hotel. The first contact with Costa Rica unfolds between tropical gardens, historic architecture and the calm ambience of the capital. Set inside a former tropical mansion converted into an elegant boutique hotel, this urban retreat feels like an oasis of quiet in the middle of the city.

Day 2

San José · Tortuguero · Channels and Caribbean rainforest

Private transfer to the domestic terminal to board your local flight to Tortuguero. From the air, the tropical rainforest begins to unfold between rivers, lagoons and a practically intact coastline. On arrival, you continue to your lodge in Tortuguero, set beside the National Park channels. The afternoon passes between jungle sounds, walks along the river and nature that seems to advance right up to the terrace of your suite. Highlight of the day: arriving at Tortuguero marks the entry into one of the most fascinating ecosystems in Central America.

Day 3

Tortuguero · Navigation, wildlife and wild life

The day breaks between tropical mist and exotic bird calls. During your stay you will enjoy boat rides through the channels, kayaking between mangroves and guided walks through the reserve. Monkeys, iguanas, sloths, toucans and caimans form part of a landscape that here feels completely intact. Luxury Atelier moment: waking in the middle of the rainforest with views over the Tortuguero river and closing the day listening only to nature.

Day 4

Tortuguero · Flight to Arenal · Wellness before the volcano

Local flight to the Arenal region, where the landscape changes completely. The imposing volcano cone emerges from humid jungle and lush vegetation. Over the next days you enjoy one of Costa Rica's most iconic thermal resorts, famous for its natural volcanic-water rivers surrounded by tropical forest. Luxury Atelier tip: as evening falls, the thermal pools take on an especially magical atmosphere between steam, waterfalls and illuminated gardens.

Day 5

Arenal · Nature, hot springs and tropical rainforest

A day to enjoy Arenal at your own pace. You can rest in the hot springs, explore jungle trails or round off the day with optional activities such as canopy, rafting or hanging bridges. The volcano remains ever present, dominating the horizon between clouds and tropical vegetation.

Day 6

Arenal · Lake Arenal · Monteverde

Today you will experience one of the most scenic transfers of the trip. The private transfer combines road and boat across Lake Arenal, surrounded by green hills and with the volcano reflected on the water. After crossing the lake you continue on to Monteverde, where the cloud forest completely transforms the landscape. Highlight of the day: the transition between the volcanic landscape of Arenal and the misty forests of Monteverde.

Day 7

Monteverde · Cloud forest and suspended nature

Monteverde is one of the most fascinating places in Costa Rica. The humidity suspended between the trees, the hanging bridges and the constant birdsong create an almost unreal atmosphere. Time to discover the cloud forest, walk trails between giant ferns and enjoy the tranquillity of the lodge. Luxury Atelier moment: dawn in Monteverde, when the mist begins to lift slowly between the trees.

Day 8

Monteverde · Manuel Antonio · Rainforest facing the Pacific

Private transfer to the Pacific coast. The landscape gradually leaves the mountains to open onto tropical beaches and lush vegetation. The afternoon is ideal to enjoy the views over the Pacific Ocean and the relaxed atmosphere of Manuel Antonio.

Day 9

Manuel Antonio · Between beaches, rainforest and ocean

Time to discover one of the most beautiful settings on the Costa Rican Pacific. Manuel Antonio combines pale-sand beaches, tropical rainforest and extraordinary biodiversity. You can relax by the sea, explore natural trails or simply enjoy the surroundings. Highlight of the day: the contrast between the intense blue of the Pacific and the rainforest descending to the beach.

Day 10

Manuel Antonio · Time to enjoy Costa Rica unhurried

A free day to experience the destination at your own pace. A quiet morning facing the ocean, a wellness experience or simply contemplating the wildlife that surrounds the hotel turn this day into a perfect pause within the trip. Luxury Atelier tip: we recommend booking a special dinner facing the ocean to enjoy the final sunset in Manuel Antonio.

Day 11

Manuel Antonio · Osa Peninsula · Corcovado

Today you continue to the wildest end of the trip. The private transfer takes you to Sierpe, where you begin a spectacular boat journey through mangroves and tropical channels bound for the Osa Peninsula. The lodge appears hidden between jungle and ocean, set within one of the most biodiverse regions on the planet. Luxury Atelier moment: arriving by boat at Corcovado, surrounded by mangroves, primary rainforest and an absolute sense of disconnection.

Day 12

Corcovado National Park · Primary rainforest

Departure to explore Corcovado National Park alongside expert naturalist guides. The trail crosses primary rainforest, rivers and wild beaches as you discover one of the most impressive ecosystems in Central America. The feeling here is of being in a truly untouched territory.

Day 13

Isla del Caño · Pacific Ocean and marine life

After breakfast you will enjoy a snorkelling excursion at Isla del Caño, one of the country's best marine enclaves. The transparent waters let you observe tropical fish, reefs and, depending on the season, turtles or manta rays. In the afternoon, free time to enjoy the lodge and the wild surroundings of the Osa Peninsula. Highlight of the day: a marine experience in one of Costa Rica's most remote and pristine corners.

Day 14

Corcovado · Flight to San José · Return
